Pair of vintage functional Bauhaus armchairs, Austria 1930
About this vintage design furniture
A pair of functional armchairs, made in the 1930s in Vienna during the Bauhaus era. These armchairs are a typical example of the best functionalist design in Central Europe in the 1930s. In the case of these armchairs, the functionalist design is characterised, for example, by the curved wooden slats that surround the perimeter of the armchairs, the shape of the armrests or the shapes of the seat and backrest. It is made of beech wood. The armchairs have been completely professionally restored in the Prague Restoration Hall, the wood has been polished with shellac, the complete upholstery of the seat parts has been carried out, including the complete replacement of the armchair filling and springs with new ones. You will not see many similar chairs on the market at the moment. The price is for the pair.
