Large and labelled sommerso glass vase designed by Flavio Poli for Alessandro Mandruzzato (Murano, Italy, 1960s). "Sommerso" is a technique developed in Murano in the 1930s which was very popular in the 1950s-60s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a clear layer. Beautifully colored faceted glass. Colours: blue, yellow and clear. Original label slightly worn but still intact (it can be very easily removed if wanted). Dimensions: height - 21 cm; depth - 9 cm (widest point); width - 9 cm (widest point). Excellent vintage condition. Manufacturing imperfection inside the vase (last picture).
