About this vintage design furniture
A stunning pair of mid-century Danish brutalist wall lamps designed in the 1960s by designer Svend Aage Holm Sørensen for Holm Sørensen & Co AS. These brass sconces has an acid-treated and torch-cut look in a brutalistic design. They give a lovely and magic shine when lit. Marked with Holm Sørensen & Co AS. Nr 5207 D. Size: 45 cmD x 18 cmH. Svend Aage Holm Sørensen is a Scandinavian designer who is more Mediterranean in his expressions, though he is a Dane. Holm Sørensen lamps has a typically retro expression around 1950-60´s, and the lamps in the United States, Italy and France were slightly more sculpted, outrageous or funny and not just as fine serene as Arne Jacobsens lamps. Good vintage condition.

About the designer
Henning SORENSEN
Henning Sorensen was a Danish designer known for his elegant, modern furniture. Born in 1926, Sorensen began his career as an apprentice in a Copenhagen carpentry workshop. He went on to work for leading Danish furniture manufacturers such as Fritz Hansen and Fredericia Furniture.
