About this vintage design furniture
Office chair series 7 or 3117 by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen. Series 7, originally designed for a town hall, has become the best-selling model of the publishing house. It is the result of extensive research to obtain a maximum of ergonomics. It is an evolution of the ant model and it is still edited today by Fritz Hansen. Our chair is a first edition of 1955 (stamped, see photo) as shown by the four legs (against 5 for the new editions). Wood veneer and metal frame on wheels. One of the wheels has been refixed and is worn without changing the stability of the piece which rolls all the same. The height adjustment system no longer works. The metal is lightly pricked which gives it all its charm In its juice, rare piece.
