About this vintage design furniture
This mide century table lamp called “commissioner” was made in the former Czechoslovakia in the 1960s. It was made by Elektrosvit n.p. company under type 1012 01 and designed by Ján Šucháň. It´s made of black bakelite, has metal positioning mechanism. In very good original condition, fully functioning. It´s one of most known lamps from producer Elektrosvit n. p. Nové Zámky. Black bakelite shade is fixed on two metal bars connected by swivel joint. The joint regulate height and angle of the lamp. Stability of the lamp is secured by rounded massive metal base covered by bakelit. Works on one bulb E27, European plug.

Jan Šuchaň is a Slovak industrial and graphic designer, born in 1987 in Zvolen, Slovakia. He studied design at Košice University of Technology, graduating in 2011.
