About this vintage design furniture
José Espinho was one of the most amazing Portuguese designers of the XX Century. The Armchair Model Prefa for Movéis Olaio is one of the greatest pieces done by José Espinho. The back of the chair is detached from the structure, and it holds only by gravity. It’s was produced in 1962 and is made of cedar wood and synthetic leather. This one was reupholstered on the base for this blue, but the back maintained it’s original upholstery. The mix is simply amazing.

About the designer
José ESPINHO
José Espinho was a Portuguese designer born in 1926 and died in 1979. He studied at the Higher School of Fine Arts in Porto and began his career working as an industrial designer for the Vista Alegre Atlantis company, which specialized in porcelain production.
