About this vintage design furniture
Mid Century Chest of Drawers Alfred cox for Heals walnut chest of drawers with maple drawers, brass pulls and tapered legs. This item was made by a highly collectable cabinet maker whose items were sold through Harrods, Heals and Maple & Co. Alfred Cox was a great designer of post-war British furniture. He worked mainly with walnut and teak, designing and producing quality items of superb craftmanship that are much sought after today. The desk is labelled by the maker. British, circa early 1960s. Dimensions: 76 cm height x 45 cm depth x 122 cm width. Condition: Very good - minimal signs of age and use.

Alfred COX
Alfred Cox was an English furniture designer who worked in the 1950s and 1960s. Born in 1912, Cox began his career as a cabinetmaker's apprentice with his father before moving into furniture design in the 1930s.
