Vintage maple wood bar cart or serving cart by Ilse Möbel, Germany 1960

This bar cart with a shelf was produced by the German manufacturer Ilse Möbel in the 1960s. It is the model 6315. The cart has been finished in maple wood in a honey shade with a satin sheen. The top has been decorated with marquetry, an ancient decoration technique. The legs have metal wheels. The table also has a practical shelf under the top and can be used as a coffee table.The history of Ilse Möbel begins in 1890 in Uslar, near Göttingen. A small factory was engaged in woodworking, creating high-quality handmade furniture from precious woods. The company also produced music equipment, lighting, garden furniture and the Kombi-Lift system, a mechanism that allows tables to be adjusted in height and unfolded simultaneously. A wide range of products did not relieve Ilse Möbel of the obligation to ensure the highest quality of work.This piece is in its original condition. It shows signs of age, light marks and a natural patina.
