Marble resin console table, held up by a unique set of two plaster horse legs that were originally designed and supported an Arts Deco drinks cabinet. The cabinets eventually didn’t make it through time but the legs survived. They were a made to order item for its first owner owner, a horse lover family. Imported from a chateau in South of France, Vallauris. There are two console tables available - one of which has some slight chipping on a hoofs, which is not visible in the pictures. CREATOR: Unknown PLACE OF ORIGIN: France DATE OF MANUFACTURE: c. 1930’s PERIOD: 1930-1939 MATERIALS & TECHNIQUES: Plaster, wood, resin CONDITION: Good vintage condition. WEAR: Wear consistent with age and use. The legs have signs of wear, scratches, discolouration and some chips on the hoofs. HEIGHT: 66cm 26in WIDTH: 91.5cm 36in DEPTH: 43cm 17in
