About this vintage design furniture
Height: 19.69 in. (50 cm) Width: 59.45 in. (151 cm) Depth: 19.69 in. (50 cm) This beautiful model FD516 coffee table by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was designed in 1956 and is crafted of solid teak. Typical of the best Danish modern design, the excellent craftsmanship matches the refined details such as the tapered edges to the top, the magazine shelf of open weave cane and the brass brackets that suspends it. Table comes with France and Son metal tag. The wooden parts shows only some minor traces of wear and tear. Some discolorations and small Patina stains on the brass.

Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN
Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
