Description : This mid-century teak dining table and four chairs were designed and manufactured by the British furniture manufacturer Portwood in the mid-twentieth century. This beautifully designed ensemble has been produced to a high standard, with its iconic shaped chairs and table base, its crisp grain and beautiful style throughout. The four dining room chairs have been carefully upholstered and are in a fantastic state of restoration. The table has an unusual square base to match the four chairs and comfortably accommodates the four chairs with room for at least four more. The table is equipped with a hidden extension that can be carefully stored underneath the table when not in use. The quality of the ensemble is high, Portwood was renowned for producing what is today a highly collected and much appreciated piece of furniture.
