About this vintage design furniture

Wonderful and adjustable brass wall light model 2582 with flower patterned lamp shade of fabric ’Notturno’ designed by Josef Frank for Svenskt Tenn - Sweden 1950s. Adjustable lenght and height. Polished brass. Measures: Total max length: 112 cm and minimum lenght: 77 cm. Height: 52 cm. Lamps shade diameter: 35 cm. Good vintage condition. Josef Frank (1885-1967) grew up in Vienna, Austria - in a Jewish family, studying architecture. Josef Frank was Vienna modernism’s foremost figures. Josef Frank began at Svenskt Tenn in 1934 and few years later had his international breakthrough. Svenskt Tenn at the World Expositions in Paris in 1937 and New York in 1939 was completely ideal of the time with its bold contrasts in materials and colours. With great attention they became the expression for “Swedish Modern”.

Frank (Josef) was a German-born American industrial and graphic designer who was born on December 5, 1924 in Munich and died on July 18, 1999 in New York. He is best known for his work in product and packaging design.
