About this vintage design furniture
A mid-century dining table produced by the ULUV in 1964. This room was clearly influenced by the soft, minimalist forms typical of Scandinavian furniture design, but was designed by the Czech architect Alan Fuchs. The table has been designed with particular attention to every detail: elegantly curved corners, proportions, precise joinery and beautiful colour and patina of elm wood. The simplicity and elegance of its shape and the beauty of the wood give the table a look as modern and contemporary as when it was originally designed. This part is in very good condition and shows only minor wear on the surface of the elm. The entire table has recently been completely refurbished to its former glory. Our experienced craftsman has carried out the restoration to the highest level, using the French polishing technique and Shellac varnish to hand finish the entire piece.
