Vintage floor lamp 'Arc' by Harvey Guzzini, Italy 1970

Floor lamp vintage floor lamp "Arc, by the famous Italian designer Harvey Guzzini, from the 70s. This iconic floor lamp, has a marble base, with a long arched neck, adjustable and extendable chrome plated, with a lampshade reminiscent of Guzzini's famous "mushroom" table lamps. Cord and foot switch, "on/off", original light switch. Bought from its original owner, this lamp is in fantastic original condition, with some signs of age, marks of use, and patina of time on the base, chrome and lampshade (see photos.) The marble base is solid and very heavy, with some lack of varnish (see photos.).2 separate curved pieces of chrome make up the arched neck, which are held together by 2 rectangular pieces of plastic, which allow one to loosen gently, and then to stretch or shorten the neck, to a desired position. The AVS mole-coloured plastic AVS shade has a mushroom shape, which emits a sieved and tied glow when lit. Photographed with an Edison bulb in one image and an ordinary bulb in another image. Very slight signs of age and use and patina of time. The lamp has been tested and is working, with a screw-in bulb (see photos.) The piece has been cleaned to the original patina.
