About this vintage design furniture
This is a handblown glass plate made using the ’Incalmo’ technique. It was designed in 1976 and this numbered edition is signed by maker Laura Diaz de Santillana in 1983. A ’Murrina’ is placed in the center. The plate is then cut on a mill in order to obtain a ’Battuto’ effect. The previous (first) owner, an importer of high-end Italian decoration and furniture, had the plate in a display cabinet for the last 35 years.
