About this vintage design furniture
Alfred Cox's Mid-Century Buffet Alfred Cox chest of drawers in walnut on raised flared legs, this object was made by a cabinetmaker of a large collection. Alfred Cox was a great post-war British furniture designer. He worked mainly with walnut and teak, designing and producing quality items of superb craftsmanship that are in great demand today. The sideboard is labelled by the manufacturer. It is offered in good condition and slightly worn, as would be expected given its age and use. The sideboard has trumpet handles, generously sized drawers and was sold by the iconic London furniture store, Heals. In the late 1950s, made in London, UK. Excellent condition, with a superb wood grain.

Alfred Cox was an English furniture designer who worked in the 1950s and 1960s. Born in 1912, Cox began his career as a cabinetmaker's apprentice with his father before moving into furniture design in the 1930s.
