About this vintage design furniture

Artifort Congo chair model 1001 designed by Theo Ruth for Artifort in 1952. The chair is based on an African principle, in which two separate wooden parts are joined together. This armchair from the 1950s is still in good condition and shows traces of normal use. There is a small stain in the fabric between the seat and backrest (invisible, see photo). Material: beech wood (legs), red and black ploeg fabric. Dimensions: h x w x d 81 x 54 x 85 cm. The seat height is 39 cm. Source: Artifort book, publisher 010, page 49.
