About this vintage design furniture

Pair of iconic sconces by Hans-Agne Jakobsson. Brass sheets folded and fixed on a teak peice wood frame and pull the string with a teak wood knob. Good condition with only minor traces of use. Standard lamp socket E27. Hans-Agne Jakobsson was undeniably one of the world's most versatile and productive lighting designers and manufacturers in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. He was also one of the best and most important designers of the Scandinavian era of golden, soft, non-glare light. His early designs follow in the footsteps of Scandinavian giants such as Poul Henningsen, Paavo Tynell and Alvar Aalto and he must be considered as important as the world-famous Nordic lighting designers Greta Magnusson-Grossman, Lisa Johansson-Pape, Verner Panton and Jo Hammerborg.
