About this vintage design furniture
Rare 1960s fireside or ’chauffeuse’ chair sourced from ’La Cachette’, Arc 1600, France. Charlotte Perriand attributed. Made of solid cylindrical sections of oak. Back rest and seat sections come apart. Superb simplistic design, visually stunning. Originally would have had cushions, works much better as a statement piece without cushions in our opinion Condition: Oak has superb warm colour, signs of age as pictured. Naturally occurring shakes in the wood which do not affect structural strength.
