Vintage daybed set with Easy chair by Ingmar Relling for Ekornes, Svanette Norway 1960

The beautiful Scandinavian Modern Svanette set consists of a 3-seater daybed with Easy Chair designed by Ingmar Relling for Ekornes, made in Norway in the 1960s. Both pieces have original woollen upholstery with the characteristic mid-century design (please see the last picture with a magazine advertisement from that time). Although we avoid modifying the original elements, it is up to the new owner to decide whether or not to upholster the pieces. However, if the original upholstery is retained, we recommend cleaning it, mainly to refresh the colours and because it shows some minor stains, signs of wear due to age and use, but without tears (please see the photos). This set, with its original upholstery (a rarity for mid-century pieces), illustrates the characteristic style of modern Scandinavian design.
