About this vintage design furniture
In 1953 Theo Ruth designed the Pinguïn (Penguin) armchair for Artifort (the Netherlands). This chair has since become a Dutch Design Classic. Theo Ruth was inspired for this design by African chairs. The Penguïn consists of two parts that effortlessly can be put together. The seating has old-fashioned comfortable springs, the backrest hugs you and offers a pleasant support. This Penguïn chair has black lacquered legs and is professionally re-upholstered with a dark gray and an egg-yellow fabric from Kvadrat from the Tonica 2 series. Seating height of this chair is 43 cm.
