About this vintage design furniture
This coffee table was designed in the 60’s by Kurt Ostervig for KP Mobler. It has a timeless shape and is made of a very beautiful teak wood with a beautiful grain. The table looks very light although it is very solidly built from massive teak. The condition is like new with minimal signs of use. Actually we have a similar table with slightly smaller table top and lower in stock. The designer Kurt Østervig started his career as a shipbuilder on the Danish island of Funen. His love of wood was born from his work as a furniture designer at E. Knudsen Studio, which was considered one of the largest furniture studios at the time. His distinctive designs are the reason why his furniture has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He created several fampus tables for the manufacturer KP Mobler.
