About this vintage design furniture
This coffee table was designed in the 1960s by Kurt Ostervig for the KP Mobler. It has a timeless shape and is made of beautiful teak wood with a beautiful grain. The table looks very light although it is very solidly constructed of solid teak. The condition is like new with minimal traces of use. In fact, we have a similar table with a slightly larger and higher top in stock. Designer Kurt Østervig started his career as a shipbuilder on the Danish island of Funen. His love of wood grew out of his work as a furniture designer at the E. Knudsen studio, which was considered to be one of the biggest furniture studios at the time. It was thanks to his special designs that his furniture was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He created several fampus tables for the manufacturer KP Mobler.
