Jacques DUVAL-BRASSEUR

In the 1950s, Duval-Brasseur began to concentrate on sculpture and soon gained international recognition for his abstract works in metal. His sculptures have been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums in France and abroad, including the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, the New York City Museum of Modern Art and the Maeght Gallery in Paris.

He has also created several works of public art, including the sculpture "La Victoire" installed in front of the entrance to the headquarters of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris.

Jacques Duval-Brasseur has received numerous awards for his work, including the Grand Prix national de sculpture in 1980 and the Fondation Simone et Cino Del Duca prize in 1990. His career as a sculptor spans more than six decades, and he is considered one of the most important artists of geometric abstraction in France.
