About this vintage design furniture
Gispen 1453 Armchairs designed by Coen de Vries for Gispen in the 1960s. The chairs feature a chromed steel frame with rosewood armrests. Both are fully restored with new foam and reupholstered cushions in greyblue. The cushions are reversible and have zippers at the back. Seating height 43cm

About the designer
Coen de VRIES and Tjerk REIJENGA
Coen de Vries was a renowned Dutch designer, known for his innovative work in industrial design. He was born on October 8, 1918 in Groningen, the Netherlands, and grew up in a creative family. De Vries studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam, where he developed his skills as a designer.
