About this vintage design furniture
Rare hanging lamp designed by Tapio Wirkkala for the Raak Amsterdam in the 50s. The lamp consists of a white frosted glass tube and a grey smoked glass tube. The grey tube is suspended from the white tube. The glass is made by Iittala (Finland). A combination of Dutch and Scandinavian design.

1915 - 1985Tapio Wirkkala was a Finnish designer and artist born on June 2, 1915 in Hanko, Finland, and died on May 19, 1985 in Helsinki. He is considered one of Finland's most important designers and left his mark on the history of 20th-century Scandinavian design.
