About this vintage design furniture

Original edition, Published by Plus-linje from 1959 to 1965. Curved metal frame in the shape of an inverted cone pivoting on a four-pointed star base in chromed steel, upholstered with foam covered with original green fabric, selected by Verner Panton, sprung seat. Good condition, some slight defects on the fabric without consequence. Armchair dimensions: h.85 cm p.60 cm. Seat: h.45p.49 cm. The k1 cone chair is the very first of the k series (kraemmerhusstole) originally designed for the restaurant of Verner Panton's parents' hotel: the Kom-igen inn located in Langeso Flowerpark in Denmark. Listed, depending on the condition, between 1200 € and 2000 €. It is rare to find this original edition model in good condition with its 60's period fabric. Superb armchair and iconic fabric by V. Panton, far from the re-editions will live with their modern and banal colored acrylic fabric. "By inverting the cone, Panton broke with convention by creating an effect that was as new as it was futuristic." Fast delivery possible in Paris.
