About this vintage design furniture

It is believed that the designer and producer of this table was made in one of the Scandinavian countries in the 1960s, most likely in Denmark. This side table is made of cherry wood with a formica top. Its design is strongly influenced by the work of Severin Hansen who produced almost identical rosewood pieces for the Haslev company. The elegantly shaped cherry wood legs with precise details and the top in formica laminate are the main features of the design - a minimalist language so typical of Scandinavian designers. This table is in very good condition. It has been polished by hand during a recent restoration using original techniques and materials. Shellac and Nitro varnishes have been used to obtain the beautiful glossy finish of the wood surface. The formica table top shows some wear and tear and the colour of the formica has faded slightly over the years.
