Vintage square dining table Brentano in glass by Emaf Progetti for Zanotta Italy 1980

Square dining table in Brentano glass by Emaf Progetti for Zanotta Italy 1980. The Brentano series is still produced today by zanotta, at least some pieces are. This specific dining table was produced only in the 80's and is quite rare in this shape and size (130×130, square). It is a perfect example of contemporary Italian design, with its laminated glass and 4 straight legs with a brushed aluminium column base in the middle. Due to the distance between the legs and the length of the legs, the table has a visible levitation effect. This effect is further accentuated by the transparent glass top. In particular, the connection between the legs and the glass top is very special with a black rubber ring to absorb vibrations in order to optimize the stability of the table. This special Brentano dining table is characterised by the clear, untinted glass and brushed aluminium legs. The table is very solidly constructed and this model can be traced from archival documents. The table is in very good condition, only a small chip is visible on the edges of up to 2 cm.
