About this vintage design furniture

Infamous Artifort 070 "Schiphol" sofa, named after Amsterdam Airport for which these sofas were designed. These sofas have been placed in the gate areas of incoming and outbound flights during the 60s and 70s. It concerns a later version of the 070. The sofa is designed as such with separate frame and upholstery elements (modular). This specific sofa consists of 4 pieces and every element is build around a wood frame. An interesting fact is that the fabric is removable, with velcro connection below the elements, so cleaning andor replacing will be quite easy to do. The sofa features a Kvadrat Tonus 0130 red fabric and chrome frame. Chrome frame in good condition with some general wear. The foam and fabric is in good condition as well and has been remarkably well preserved with no damage and hardly any staining. Likely the fabric has been replaced in a later stage.
