Vintage Magneto Floor Lamp by H. Fillekes for Artiforte, 1950s

Rare 1st edition of the “Magneto” floor lamp designed by H. Fillekes for Artiforte in 1954. This special floor lamp is known for its unique magnet system, in which the arm is attached to the base with a round magnet (ball joint). This magnetic connection allows you to put the arm in different positions. The hood is also adjustable and rotatable. The first edition was only produced for a short time and is different from the 2nd version from 1960. The top of the tripod leg is different, and the mounting of the hood as well (see picture). The condition is still very good with minimal traces of use and wear. Dimensions: H x W x D 140 x 160 x 54 cm. Diameter shade 23 cm. Material: metal, aluminium and nickel.
