About this vintage design furniture
Here is the futuristic GS 195 model, designed in 1963 by the talented Gianni Songia and produced until well into the 1970s, the Sormani label in its workshops in Arosio, a town in the Lombard province of Como. It features a structure with wood veneer Rio Rosewood and leather upholstery. This attractive three-seater sofa is ideal for sitting or lying down, as it has a folding backrest, which when tilted backwards, expands the seat as a bed, with an area of 190x88 cm and a height of 40cm. In excellent structural and aesthetic condition. After sanitizing the wood and cleaning the upholstery (re-nourishing and hydrating the leather), its graceful original appearance was completely recovered. Mention that its former owner replaced the turnbuckles with a solid wooden base, which gives us a firmer seat.
