About this vintage design furniture

Elegant piece of furniture designed by Tom Robertson in the 60s and produced by the prestigious Scottish label A.H. McIntosh & Company. Body in teak laminated wood, which gives us a design with clear Scandinavian inspiration, with simple lines, bare of superfluous ornaments and giving all the prominence to the warmth of natural wood. A piece with great storage capacity, suitable as a bar cabinet or sideboard. It presents a front organized into three registers: the upper one with a double door that houses two large independent spaces, with a useful height of 41.5cm. and with fixed shelf. Duo of central drawers (both with a useful height of 8.5cm) on the left with cutlery compartments and upholstered base. And in the lower part the upper register is replicated (but increasing the useful height by 3 cm and without a shelf in the right space). To finish, highlight the combination in the design of the handles: on the doors, protruding pieces sculpted in the shape of a triangle and large slit rectangles on the front of the drawers; This particularity shows us the fascination for the detail of the Scottish firm, which always used qualified local cabinetmakers and a traditional process to produce its furniture.
