About this vintage design furniture
This is a rare "Model 6245" occasional chair designed in 1962 by Danish designer Ib Kofod-Larsen for G-Plan’s "Danish Range". Stunning and extremely comfortable, the chair is beautifully sculptured, with impossibly thin spear-shaped arm rests, with curved side stretchers and backrest stretcher. With an open back design, the back cushion is suspended with original Expersprings, and the seat cushion supported by elastic webbing. The solid afrormosia (“African Teak”) frames have been cleaned and polished, are structurally sound, and all joints are tight. The chair has new foam filled cushions, upholstered in a lovely green hop sack weave fabric.
