About this vintage design furniture
Architectural brutalist style lounge chair designed by Sonja Wasseur in the 1970’s. The chair features an oak wooden frame with saddle leather details and leather upholstered cushions. All furniture by Sonja Wasseur was handmade and produced in very small numbers in her atelier. The distinctive chairs are authentic and can not be compared with any other chairs from this period. The designs are unmistakably recognizable in all of her work. Remains in very good condition with some patination to the frame. Seating height 38cm

Sonja WASSEUR
Sonja Wasseur is a Dutch designer born in 1954 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. She studied textile design at the Rotterdam Academy of Fine Arts and went on to work as a textile designer for various companies.
