Vintage Cleopatra daybed, brown leather, Dick Cordemeyer 1954

An outstanding Cleopatra daybed, designed by Dick Cordemeijer and manufactured by Auping in the Netherlands around 1954. This eye-catching piece is made from the highest quality grey lacquered metal with wonderful wooden ends. The Minimalist design and use of materials are very recognizable for this style, making this bed an iconic piece of vintage Dutch design. The mattress is upholstered in very nice tufted brown leather. The cylinder pillow has matching upholstery and greatly compliments the modern style of the piece This wonderful daybed remains in very good original condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
