About this vintage design furniture
Teak 3-seater sofa with rattan elements designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for France & Daverkosen, Denmark 1953-1957. Rare 3-seater sofa with teak frame and woven rattan arm and backrests. The light gray upholstery with a hint of blue has a coarse weave and is slightly mixed. The Danish sofa is marked and from the first owner. Fair to good condition. The rattan weave has some minor damage on the armrests. The upholstery of the cushions has a few small holes. A spring is missing. All in all traces of use according to age and use (see also the photos)

About the designer
Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN
Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
