About this vintage design furniture
Set of six 646 "Leggera" dining chairs designed by Gio Ponti and produced by Cassina in 1956. Seats upholstered in red leatherette skai. Structure in light brown ash. The Leggera 646 chair, which means "light", is one of the most authentic expressions of reductive beauty to be found in modern design. Very good vintage condition.

Gio PONTI
1891 - 1979Gio Ponti (1891-1979) was an Italian designer, architect, writer and teacher, considered one of the most influential designers of 20th-century Italy. Born in Milan, he studied architecture at Milan Polytechnic University and began working as an architect in 1921.
