This hand-knotted kazak was made in the 1960s and has been professionally cleaned.Caucasian rugs were made by many different tribal groups, they have many common characteristics. Sought after by collectors and designers alike, these rugs are characterized by their colorful and bright palette. Blue, red, yellow, green, navy, black and beige can be combined in one rug. The patterns are very geometric, assertive and bold, and the most common motifs are usually stripes, crosses, squares, diamonds, hexagons, triangles, or even geometric animal or human figures.
