About this vintage design furniture
For sale a stunning Mid 20th Century Modernist oil on canvas titled "ABSTRACT PINK" by BritishFrench artist, Josselin Reginald Courtenay Bodley (1893-1974). Signed and dated 1960 (lower left), inscribed and dated on verso and measuring 36 x 46cm (frame: 58 x 48). Mounted in a fabulous bark-effect modernist wooden frame, the piece is in good vintage condition, with wear commensurate with age. Bodley’s work is included in various high profile British collections, including the Government Art Collection, The Wilson and the Manchester Art Gallery.
