About this vintage design furniture

Set of 8 original B32 “Cesca” dining chairs produced by Gavina in 1963. They are all signed with the original paper mark. Cesca chairs were originally designed in 1928 by French Hungarian architect Marcel Breuer and named after his daughter Francesca. Gavina was the official Italian producer for Marcel Breuer furniture; in 1968 the society was bought by Knoll International, which took the ownership of the official license. Modernist, architect and furniture designer, Marcel Breuer, extended the sculptural vocabulary he had developed in the carpentry shop at the Bauhaus into a personal architecture that made him one of the world’s most popular architects at the peak of 20th century design. This Bauhaus style armchairs are part of the most important list from the 20th century design furniture collection. Chrome tube frame. Seat and back in Wicker Wien Straw with black lacquered beech edge. Very good vintage condition. Chrome structure in perfect condition, without any kind of oxide or rust.
