About this vintage design furniture
Wonderful bentwood chair by M Thonet. This chair was originally designed in 1859; this one dates from around 1890 - the Art Nouveau period. In good original condition, wonderfully patinated all over. Stamped to the rear of the seat of the chair B & J. T Made from bent solid and laminated Beech with moulded plywood seat. This chair is mentioned in the book 1000 chairs - page 47.
