About this vintage design furniture
This king chair in chocolate brown leather and in the popular highback version comes in excellent condition. The leather is soft and shows nearly no signs of use. The wooden frame of the armrests and the woodbase are in very good condition. Excellent sample of a king chair. The strässle king chair is one of the most known design pieces of the belgian designer andre vandenbeuck of the midcentury modern period. Designed for the swiss manufacturer strässle this chair was made by wk and became an icon.

André VANDENBEUCK
André Vandenbeuck was a Belgian designer born on February 6, 1922 in Ixelles and died on February 4, 2014 in De Haan. He is best known for his work as an automotive designer for the French Facel Vega brand in the 1950s and 1960s.
