About this vintage design furniture
A blood red RA 40 pendant lamp from Danish scientist, mathematician, inventor, artist, designer, philosopher and poet Piet Hein. An iconic, sleek and minimalist design, with a removable cup that covers the bulb to make it anti-glare. Good condition, no bumps, but some damage to the lacquer on the central top, as seen on the last picture. This damage is only visible when you look at the pendant from above. Standard bulb E27 The Danish lighting company Lyfa was founded around 1924 as Københavns Lampe Og Lysekronefabrik at the beginning of the 20th century. Based in the Copenhagen area, it was renamed Lyfa around 1930.
