Jos De Mey Walnut Cabinet A multi-use walnut drinks cabinetstorage bureau features internal lights and vintage key fobs. Designed by Jos de Mey, the Belgian-Flemish designer and manufactured by the furniture factory Van den Berghe – Pauvers in Ghent. Jos De Mey (1928–) attended the Municipal Higher Institute of Architecture in Ghent, with none other than Gaston Eysselinck as teacher. In the 1950s, De Mey himself became known as one of the best Belgian furniture designers, and rightly so. He worked as a designer for Van Den Berghe-Pauvers in Ghent, as well as at Luxus in Kortrijk. In 1968 he starts a successful career as a painter. This piece dates back to the 1950s. Made in Belgium. Dimensions (cm): 106 W x 123 H x 44 D Condition: Excellent condition with minor age-related wear.

About the designer
Jos DE MEY
Jos De Mey was a Belgian designer born in Ghent on January 29, 1928 and died in Bruges on January 2, 2007. He studied architecture and design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, where he also taught for several years.
