About this vintage design furniture
1st Edition Panthella floor lamp designed by Verner Panton in 1971 for Louis Poulsen, Denmark. This is an original old version with switch in the base from the 1970s. This design classic won the Bundespreis “Gute Form” in 1972. The condition is still good with some normal traces of use. The acrylic base has – as usual with these lamps – some discoloration from the sun (see photos). The white cap has some small hairline cracks at the top below the chrome ball, nothing serious (see photo). The lamp has been cleaned and the wiring has been checked by an electrician. Dimensions: h x d 130 x 50 cm. Marked: Louis Poulsen, made in Denmark. Source: book Verner Panton, page 293.
