About this vintage design furniture
Rare brass pendant lamp with opal glass shade. An example of Danish designer Bent Karlby's early work before he started with his most famous "space age" designs. These are very delicate in design and very rare today. This one features thick opal glass shades with a serrated edge on top. The glass shades are in perfect condition. The pendant itself is a brass frame with thin metal plates covering the top and side of the light source. The pale yellow plates have small perforated stars that give a great decorative effect. The brass plates and details show some minor signs of use. The glass shades are in perfect condition.
