About this vintage design furniture
Modest yet luxurious swivel lounge chair in leather by Louis van Teeffelen for Dutch manufacturer WeBe, 1950s-1960s. Louis van Teeffelen introduced WeBe to a more Scandinavian inspired collection of which this chair with modest lines yet high quality materials, is a good example. The original design had a more common cubic frame, as shown on the catalogue photo, yet this swivel mechanism is a more luxurious version of that design. The chair is reupholstered and has a firm comfort. This piece is completely restored and re-upholstered in a mid brown Ohmann anilin leather upholstery. The fabric has been treated with a fresh wax layer to protect it against the first use. The swivel mechanism has a stopfix lever under the seating. The chrome metal foot is in great condition.
