Swedish midcentury modern ceramic dish or bowl by Upsala-Ekeby, Sweden 1960s. Handpainted chamotte clay on a mustard yellow base and grey bottom. Suitable for both fruit and vegetables on your table. Measures: 27 cmD x 6.5 cmH. Stamp underneath: UE Sweden, Itemnr 4072.

About the designer
Mari SIMMULSON
Marie Simmulson was a Swedish designer born in 1911 in St Petersburg, Russia. She moved to Sweden in 1915 with her family, where she studied at the Göteborg School of Decorative Arts. She went on to study at the Konstfack School of Art in Stockholm, graduating in 1936.
