About this vintage design furniture

Richard Hornby Teak Dining Chairs A set of six British Mid Century Afromosia Teak dining chairs by Richard Hornby for Fyne Ladye, retailed through Heals. New green hard wearing upholstery. 1 carver and 5 regular dining chairs. Superb craftsmanship throughout, carved from Afrormosia with beautiful design and shape. Fyne Ladye Furniture of Banbury was one of the few quality British makers to use solid woods for their pieces in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Richard Hornby was a very accomplished designer whose simple elegant clean designs were popular with well off middle-class buyers looking for modern Scandinavian style pieces at the time. Fyne Ladye Furniture was rarely labelled and was retailed by top contemporary shops like Heals of London at the time. Dimensions (cm): W 47 x H 86 x D 47 Seat height is 46 cm. Condition: Overall in superb vintage condition. Some signs of use as expected, but nothing to strike the eye.
